The Dreamers: Aquí y Allá is A devised theatre piece on immigration, racism and DACA recipients reconnecting with their first home. The Dreamers: Aquí y Allá is a devised theatre piece Andrea created in collaboration with the California-Mexico Studies Center. Andrea traveled to Mexico with CSULB Theatre Arts students to interview a group of DACA students who were given permission through advance parole to return to their homeland, a permission no longer being given from the current administration. The play follows these young Dreamers but also incorporates interviews from U.S. Congressman Alan Lowenthal, an immigration rights attorney, a border patrol agent, and more.
Andrea is a leading an online workshop for all certified Fitzmaurice Voicework teachers on the steps to defining a clinical research project incorporating FV. Also included in the weekend is information on arts-based research projects and one-on-one feedback for participant research proposals/ideas.
